IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS

BIDDING AND REGISTERING
To bid, you must be registered. We encourage you to do this beforehand and well in advance of the sale via bid.winsorbirch.com and click on ‘Registration’ in the top right hand corner. To register for bidding, please fill in the mandatory buyers KYC check form and wait for approval. Once approved, login to your account and start bidding.

STARTING AND CURRENT BIDS
The bidding platform is live and bids can now be placed. Each work has a starting price, no bids below this price will be accepted. As soon as bidders place a bid on a work the starting price will become the current price. The highest bidder will receive notification that the bid is with them. Bidders will receive notification by email when their bid is out bid.

BIDDING IN INCREMENTS
Bidders can bid up in pre-set increments by clicking on the BID button, the next bid will be listed below each lot. Bids will increase by increments. If there are competing maximum bids the next bid may jump by several increments dictated by the number and value of the maximum bids placed.

MAXIMUM BIDS
Bidders can leave maximum absentee bids by typing their maximum bid into the box labelled ‘max absentee bids’ and clicking the BID button. Max absentee bids close at 12.00 on the 17th September, after this point bidding will be in increments only. Max bids will be registered confidentially, and the current price will only increase by the next increment unless there are competing maximum bids in which case the next bid may jump by several increments. The highest bidder will receive email notification should their bid be outbid by another bidder. Maximum bids can only be placed in pre-set increments any bids below the preset increments will automatically round up to the next increments. Please be sure to double check the confirmation pop up before confirming your bid.

FINAL BIDS
At 12.00 GMT on the 17th of September 2024 we will start taking final bids in lot order starting with Lot 1- Forgotten Lost Hopes, 1984. Each bid placed in the 1minute after 12:00 GMT will extend bidding on this lot by 1 minute to allow for counter bids. Each counter bid will extend the bidding by a further 1 minute until all bids have been received. Once a lot has closed the next will start and operate in the same fashion. The closing time of the auction will depend on the number of bids made during the final bidding stage.
